A GOWN FOR BABY is a versatile gown pattern that buttons down the front. It has two different fronts: the fuller front can be smocked or gathered while the second, with less fullness, can be pleated. The gown has three lengths - a short day gown length, a longer version and a gown with a drawstring. Three sleeve lengths of a narrow sleeve are also included - short, long and drawstring. A short gathered sleeve is also included. The collar is a Peter Pan. Instructions are given for a smocked bonnet. This pattern can be used for both sleep wear and day time wear.

AIMEE is a jumper which is open under the arms to the waist. This jumper buttons at both the waistline and the shoulders. The skirt can be smocked with the smocking design included or gathered on the bodice. A patch pocket for the skirt has been included. The shirt buttons down the front and has a center back pleat for extra fullness. The collar is a shawl-type Peter Pan. The gathered sleeve can either be long with a cuff or short gathered on a sleeve band.

BARBARA consists of a European length dress with a one piece front panel which is smocked from the shoulder in the bodice area. A smocking design is included. The short sleeve is smocked or gathered on a band. The long sleeve is gathered on a cuff. A Peter Pan collar is included. A fabric sash ties in the back.

Christening Ensemble I

CHRISTENING ENSEMBLE I consists of a gown, slip and bonnet. The front bodice can be smocked with the included design before attaching to the gathered skirt. The bonnet can later be used as a handkerchief. Three sleeves are included: a smocked sleeve and two gathered sleeves with different fullness. A template for a scalloped hem edge is also included. The skirt of the gown shown was made with a purchased Swiss eyelet.

CHRISTENING ENSEMBLE II consists of a princess style gown, slip, blanket and bonnet. The center front and center back panels of the skirt are A-lined and are suitable for heirloom sewing. The skirt side panels are gathered. The skirt bottom can be finished with a lace or self fabric ruffle. Two gathered sleeves with different fullness are included. The blanket has a hood on one corner to cover the child's head. The bonnet can later be used as a handkerchief.
